Dr. Rohit Ratnakar Hegde

Young and enterprising Pulmonologist Dr. Rohit Hedge has completed 4 years in the field of respiratory diseases. He is a resident of Mumbai city where he promotes clinical practice in areas such as:

-Direct lung mass biopsy
-Pleural tapping & biopsy
-Intercostal drain insertion for hydropneumothorax, empyema, lung trauma etc.
-FNAC of lung lesion
-pleurodesis for recurrent pneumothorax, & recurrent rapidly filling hemorrhagic pleural effusion
-USG & CT scan guided diagnostic & therapeutic procedures of lung & pleural disease, pig tailing for drainage of abscess cavities in the lung
-Endotracheal & nasal tracheal intubation
-central line insertion through subclavian & jugular veins
-cardio respiratory resuscitation technique.

Dr. Hedge is a MBBS graduate from D Y Patil Medical College & Hospital (Pune) followed by post graduation MD (Pulmonary Medicine) from Grant Medical College & JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. He is a recipient of MUHS Certificate of Merit in 2011 for his splendid achievement of securing third rank in the MBBS examinations.

He is presently an Assistant Professor in Pulmonary Medicine at Grant Medical College & JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai. Previously he has served in a similar academic position at Government Medical College (Miraj) and Lokmanya Tilak Medical College & Sion Hospital (Mumbai). He presently enjoys professional affiliation with Dr. Sudha Hegde Clinic (Mulund) and Hindusabha Hospital (Ghatkopar) which are located in the suburbs of eastern Mumbai. He has valuable contribution in terms of publications in national and gobal repute journals and presentations delivered in NAPCON conferences.

With a sound training in Pulmonary Function Tests, Sleep studies, Cardio-pulmonary exercise tests and Bronchoscopies (Fibreoptic and Video) for diagnostic & therapeutic purposes, Dr. Hegde offers immense expertise in the area of respiratory diseases.
